Blaze Robotics

Elevate your child's potential with Blaze Robotics! Our esteemed robotics programs for grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 lay a solid foundation, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills from a young age. Our teams have dominated state championships and soared on the global stage, ranking among the top 25 teams worldwide. Thanks to our partnership with Ignite Robotics and a rich legacy of over two decades, we offer an unparalleled educational adventure. At Blaze Robotics Academy, we're not just building robots; we're crafting future leaders and innovators. Join us, where champions begin and young minds are inspired to shape the future!

Blaze Robotics is for…

Elementary School

Start your future engineers off early. Blaze Robotics Academy offers competitive VEX IQ for elementary students, as well as VEX IQ summer camps to help teach students the basics.

Middle School

Blaze Robotics offers both competitive VEX IQ and competitive VEX EDR for middle schoolers. Blaze offers summer camps for both middle school VEX IQ and middle school VEX EDR to teach students the basics.

High School

Blaze Robotics offers competitive high school VEX EDR through its partnership with Ignite Robotics. Ignite provides mentorship and experience that has helped Blaze Robotics’ teams qualify for worlds in previous years. Blaze Robotics also offers summer internship and volunteer opportunities for high for high schoolers to build their leadership skills.

Competitive High School Robotics

Competitive high school robotics is the pinnacle of any students VEX robotics career. The fast-paced, team driven matches challenge students of all skill levels and will leave them with many new soft skills, technical skills, and a longing to qualify for the VEX World Championship.

What is VEX?

In the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!

Why robotics?

Work hard. Play Hard.

Robotics is more than just an extracurricular. Like many sports, in robotics your team comes first. You will design, build and compete, all with your team by your side. Teams are mostly student run, consisting of five to six students along with a coach to help guide new teams through the learning process. Students will be in constant communication with their team, learning new skills, and competing against other robotics teams in viciously quick matches at robotics tournaments.

Dream it.

The VEX robotics challenge is based around creativity. Teams are given an ecosystem of parts and a game challenge and are tasked to design their own robot.

Build it.

After coming up with a design, teams will construct, wire and code their robots. Teams need to work together to ensure all members are actively involved in construction of the robot.

Grow it.

Once the robot is built, it is iterated on to ensure it will be competitive in matches. Teams improve hardware, software, and driver abilities.

See what we’ve been up to.
