With limited team formations beginning now (May 2025), we invite you to register for the new season of VEX IQ Competition. This one-time registration fee confirms your commitment to the upcoming season and helps support the time our coaches dedicate to thoughtfully forming well-balanced teams. It ensures we’re able to create the best possible experience for every student.
By registering, you’re helping us build an environment where young minds can explore robotics, express their creativity, and bring innovative ideas to life.
Any student born after May 1st, 2010 (i.e. who will be 15 or younger at VEX Worlds 2026) can compete at middle school level.
Elementary school students are allowed to play up as a middle school student, but we strongly recommend against playing up.
Age: 12-15, current grade 5-7, i.e. grade 6-8 in Fall 2025
Regular Season 2025-2026: September 2025 to March 2026 (May if the team advances to the World Championship.)
Full Team Tuition:
Early Start Season $2700 per student (June 2025-March 2026)
Regular Season $2350 per student (September 2025-March 2026)
Additional Fee will be applied if the team advances to the World Championship.
Team tuition for regular season dues in late August after teams are formed. You will receive an invoice from us before regular season starts.
Blaze Robotics Competition Team Overview
Most Blaze Robotics teams consist of five students working together throughout the season. Students begin by gaining a solid understanding of the current VEX competition game, exploring robot design strategy, and learning how to document their process in an engineering notebook.
As the season progresses, teams meet weekly to collaborate on:
Refining their overall design strategy
Conducting in-depth research
Brainstorming innovative ideas
Designing, building, and programming their robot
What’s Included in the Program:
Team coaching sessions with an experienced Blaze Robotics Coach
Weekly coach-supported team workshops
All required hardware and software for the competition season
Official VEX Competition Team registration
Up to five regional tournament registration (exact number depends on skill level), including the State Championship (if the team qualifies)
Team T-shirt
What’s Not Included:
Personal tools or equipment that individual students may choose to use exclusively
Travel and accommodation costs for tournaments
Registration fees for additional tournaments beyond those included in the program (e.g. Signature Events, VEX World Championship)
