VEX Robotics Competition Season 2022-2023

For Rising 9th to 12th Graders This Fall

Ignite Robotics high school team have a history of success.  Each year, our VEX V5 high school teams have qualified for the State Championship and the World Championship.


 
  • Program Audience: Entering Grade 9, 10, 11, 12 this fall.
  • Season 2022 -2023: September 2022 to March 2023 (May if team advanced to the world.)

STUDENTS WILL BE:

  • Challenged to think critically and divergently

  • Developing computational thinking

  • Becoming comfortable with engineering iteration

  • Valuing the importance of learning from failure

  • Learning about jobs of the future

  • Building leadership, communication, collaboration skills

  • Mentoring and Coaching others
  • Event planning and management skills

  • Encouraged to develop a growth mindset

  • Exposed to the newest and most advanced technology

2022-2023 VEX Robotics Competition

The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is the largest and fastest-growing middle school and high school robotics program globally. Each year, an exciting engineering challenge is presented in the form of a game. Students, with guidance from their teachers and mentors, build innovative robots and compete year-round.

In addition to learning valuable engineering skills, students gain life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, communication, collaboration, project management, and critical thinking. The VEX Robotics Competition prepares students to become future innovators with 95% of participants reporting an increased interest in STEM subject areas and pursuing STEM-related careers.
