Description:

Half-day chess strategy + half-day VEX Go/IQ robotics at Chess4Life Bellevue/Issaquah!

In this half-day chess, half-day robotics camp, students will sharpen their strategic thinking through competitive chess play and apply problem-solving skills in team-based robotics challenges.

During the Chess Camp portion, campers will build on core chess concepts such as planning ahead, evaluating positions, and adapting strategies. Through guided lessons, mini-games, and friendly competition, students develop focus, resilience, and decision-making skills – Key habits for both the chessboard and real-world challenges! In the Robotics Camp portion, campers will embark on an exciting and fun-filled journey into the world of robotics with Blaze instructors! Using the VEX platform, students will explore the fundamentals of robotics—from understanding core components and systems to building and programming their own robots. This camp is designed to spark curiosity and inspire students to continue advancing to more challenging levels as they grow in their robotics journey.

Target Students:

This camp is ideal for kids who enjoy strategy, collaboration, and hands-on challenges – And want to push their thinking further through both chess and robotics. (Open to ages 6 - 8, 8 - 12)

Daily Camp Schedule:

8:30 AM - 9:00 AM - Drop-Off

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Chess/Robotics Camp (campers bring their own lunch)

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM - Pick-Up

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM - Optional Aftercare Add-On (purchase separately)

Cancellation Policy:

10% non-refundable deposit if you cancel 2 or more weeks (14 days) before the start of camp. Deducted from refund.

15% non-refundable deposit if you cancel with less than 2 weeks before camp. Deducted from refund.

No refunds after 6:00 PM the Friday before camp begins.
