View Available Sessions

Welcome to RoboQuest Intro to Robotics: Ocean Science, an exciting and playful 10-week course designed specifically for our youngest learners in grades K-2. This course introduces young learners to the wonder of an underwater journey to learn about marine science using robotics in action. Using the VEX GO kits, students design and program an underwater-inspired robot to navigate in ocean ecosystems, act like underwater research tools and understand concepts such as biodiversity, habitats, and environmental conservation. The course encourages creativity, teamwork, and curiosity while nurturing basic STEM skills.

Target Students:

This course is ideal for curious and creative learners who enjoy building, experimenting, and solving challenges. Whether they’re budding engineers or simply fascinated by how things work, students with a love for hands-on activities and an interest in STEM concepts will thrive in this course. No prior experience with robotics or VEX GO is required, making it accessible to all skill levels.

Learning Outcome:

The RoboQuests course is primarily designed to familiarize students with the fundamentals of robotics, as well as ocean science principles, by integrating them into the process of building, programming, and problem-solving in order to explore this exciting world of marine ecosystems. Throughout the process, students will be learning scientific inquiry and engineering skills while investigating issues in ocean conservation and the technology used to study and protect our oceans.
